What Membership Suits Me?

Membership of the Society is open to medical, dental and veterinary practitioners actively engaged in Research and Education in Pathology, including Pathology trainees, foundation doctors, SAS doctors, scientists, biomedical scientists, postgraduate and undergraduate students.

Ordinary

  • Available to those individuals in a substantive academic or consultant position (or equivalent) in any field relevant to the understanding of disease.
  • Subscription year runs from 01 January - 31 December
  • Applications received before 01 December will commence 01 January
  • Applications received after 01 December & before 31 May will commence 01 July

  • Application open from 01 January - 31 December
  • FULL benefits: on-line access to the Journal of Pathology, a subscription to Diagnostic Histopathology and membership to the ESP + on-line access to Virchow's Archive

Undergraduate & Foundation Doctor

The Pathological Society encourages any undergraduate medical, dental or veterinary student with an interest in pathology, particularly with a desire to find out more about pathology and what pathologists do, to consider joining the Pathological Society as an undergraduate member.

The Society also encourages undergraduate students in other Medically-related courses who are planning to enter Medicine, Dentistry or Vet Medicine to consider joining, especially if they are interested in further building up their knowledge and understanding of pathology and the role of pathologists.

  • UK Applicants only - you must complete and a Paperless Direct Debit Mandate (DDI) during the online application process for subsequent annual subscription payments.
     
  • Overseas Applicants only - all subscriptions are paid online by Credit/Debit card.
     
  • Applicant Sponsor* - a sponsor is required for Ordinary, CMFB and CMLB applications and their name and email address must be entered as part of the application process. *Please note only Ordinary Members are eligible to act as Sponsor.
