The Pathological Society Needs Your Support

Support us today to advance our aim of understanding disease.

Donations, legacies and support from grant-giving trusts provide a vital source of income, enabling us to fund research, support education and training, and invest in the next generation of pathologists.

Visit our About page to learn more about our work, or continue reading to find out how you can support us.

Donations

Donations made today allow us to act now, supporting research, education, and those at the start of their careers in pathology.
Your contribution helps to:
• Fund research that improves how disease is understood and diagnosed
• Support students, trainees, and early-career researchers
• Enable educational programmes and scientific exchange

There is no minimum gift. Every contribution, of any size, plays a part in sustaining this work.

Gift Aid and Tax Efficiency

Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by 25% at no additional cost to you.

If you are a UK taxpayer, the Society can reclaim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate.
• A donation of £100 becomes £125

If you are a higher or additional rate taxpayer, you may also be able to claim further tax relief through your self-assessment tax return.
• A £100 donation could cost you as little as £75
• While the Society still receives £125

This makes giving both effective and tax-efficient.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

A legacy gift enables long-term investment in research and education.
Such gifts provide the stability needed to support future generations of pathologists, fund emerging areas of research, and respond to new scientific challenges.
After providing for those close to you, even a small proportion of your estate can have lasting significance.

Your legacy could:
• Support future research initiatives
• Provide funding for training and development
• Sustain educational and scientific programmes
