Debbie Hopster slides now online

Throughout her career, popular and respected Consultant and trainer in London, Dr Debbie Hopster, has created 13 histopathology slide sets, each containing up to 500 slides. These slides have become an extremely valuable teaching resource for trainees.

Dr Hopster has now retired, unfortunately on grounds of ill health. To acknowledge her long-standing dedication to trainees of today and tomorrow PathXL, in collaboration with The Pathological Society and Dr Charanjit Kaur, are scanning the slide sets and making them available as Digital Slide Archives on the Pathological Society´s education portal.

Colleague and friend of Dr Hopster, Dr Rachael Liebmann, Assistant Registrar Royal College of Pathologists, comments "Trainees have been going to Debbie´s Department in the Whittington for years to use this resource as part of their exam preparation and their feedback is unanimously that these slides sets are a superb resource. At any one time Debbie would have up to 50 trainees on her books. I think that digitizing these slide sets would be a fitting tribute to Debbie and her efforts for training."
