To promote research in pathology to fund short projects for early career clinical academic research trainee pathologists for periods of 3,6,9,12 months. The bursary will provide the applicant's salary and/or research expenses up to a maximum of £50,000.00.

Please note that these grants are usually taken in a nine-month block, but could also be taken in three month blocks at different times during clinical training.

Who is eligible

Trainee members of the Society, based in Great Britain or Ireland, in a recognised Specialist Trainee 1-5 post in Histopathology
